Personal Life

I was lucky enough to be married to the same woman for 41 years. Even luckier that we still loved each other after being together that long. Between us we had 3 children and 11 grandchildren. We loved to travel and see new places and meet new people. Interacting with new people is a joy in my life and provides me with a wide spectrum of friends. Reaching out and helping others is just a part of my nature.

The last few years of my wife’s life were spent battling Alzheimer’s. My profession required an immense amount of travel, so as my wife’s condition worsened, I stopped working so I could care for her at home myself. It was without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever done in my life … but I would do it all over again. Loyalty runs deep in my family.  She passed away in 2019 and I was lost for quite some time. Eventually I decided I needed to find a way to carry on. I started getting back involved in the artist community and now real estate is allowing me to meet and engage with more people again.

I was completely shocked that when shopping for a tree at a nursery in the Valley, that the woman at the register caught my attention. The was the first thing I noticed was how happy and positive minded she was.  We ended up chatting while their yardman put my tree purchase into the truck. She was also a widow, having lost her husband several years ago. After talking a while, I found myself wanting to ask herout. We agreed to get together for sushi and have been together ever since. I could never imagine that after all wonderful years I had, I would be blessed again with another wonderful relationship. 

We never know where life is going to take us. Our job is to be the best we can be and appreciate everything we have.
